I reviewed the three reports for:

- agentic-coding additions such as traces, tool calls, model configuration, human checkpoints, and safety controls;
- anti-patterns and caveats;
- source quality and internal consistency.

This is a synthesis of the reports, not an independent literature review. Claims below should be treated as distilled findings from the provided material.

1. **Most operationally useful status reports answer the same questions: what changed, what is next, what is blocked, and what decision or help is needed.**  
   Evidence: **High**.

   This appears across Scrum standups, OKR check-ins, military SITREPs, construction look-aheads, NASA gates, and autonomous agent progress streams. The exact format changes, but the primitive remains stable: completed work, intended next work, blockers/risks, and requests for support.

2. **A status signal must combine color, metric, and commentary.**  
   Evidence: **High**.

   RAG status alone is too easy to game. Metrics alone lack interpretation. The robust pattern is:

   For agentic coding, “status” cannot stop at “patch generated” or “tests passed.” It should include:

### Prompt rules for future status-reporting agents

- Prefer evidence-linked claims over narrative claims.
- Link to access-controlled evidence; redact secrets, personal data, credentials, private code, and sensitive prompts from report text.
- Mark unknowns explicitly instead of filling gaps with optimistic prose.
- Never report Green without objective supporting evidence.
- Every Amber or Red item must include owner, mitigation, and next review date.
- Separate “blocked” from “at risk”: blocked means work cannot proceed without external action; at risk means the forecast is threatened.
- Separate “tests passed” from “accepted/deployed/verified.”
- Include decision deadlines and consequences.
- Keep executive summaries short; put trace-level detail behind links or appendices.
- If evidence conflicts, report dimension-specific status before assigning overall RAG.

### RAG threshold defaults

Use organization-specific thresholds when available. If none exist, use this default:

- **Unknown / Unrated:** no agreed baseline exists, evidence is insufficient, or discovery work has not yet established meaningful thresholds.
- **Green:** within agreed tolerance; no unresolved blocker threatens a key commitment; evidence supports forecast.
- **Amber:** material variance or dependency risk exists, but there is a credible recovery plan with owner and date.
- **Red:** a critical objective, milestone, safety requirement, compliance requirement, or budget/schedule constraint is no longer under control, or no credible recovery plan exists.

## Limitations

- This document synthesizes three generated reports; it does not independently verify every cited source.
- Some claims in the source reports are time-sensitive, especially OpenTelemetry GenAI conventions, AI Act obligations, benchmark scores, and MCP task-related material.
- Vendor benchmarks and platform claims should be treated as marketing until independently confirmed.
